Delicate & Beaded Bags

It would be our desire that delicate purses, such as this beaded bag, be brought in for servicing before they get to this point of disrepair. However, if your purse has seen better days these photos give you an idea as to what is possible. Hand cleaning around the delicate beads was time consuming, however I think you will agree the results can be amazing.

Hi Chuck,

I have a number of large beaded bags made of cloth with wood bottoms and leather straps from the 60's. The fabric is linen or cotton is is soiled and mildewed. Any tips to get the fabric clean? I need to sell them to make some money...recently laid off for the first time. Appreciate any help you can give, thanks so much. Deborah McCarthy

Hi Deb,

I have written a newsletter regarding mildew that is available to view from my website www.margarets.com. Take a look at the Spring 2006 FashionableCare newsletter. If after trying some of the cleaning tips in the newsletter and you still need help send your purses in and we will take care of them for you.

I hope this helps...chuck
